Statement of Purpose


Choosing a Nursery is an emotional decision. Here at little Angels  Nursery in Cardiff we understand what is important to both you the parents and your children.

We pride ourselves in offering excellent high quality childcare within a happy and loving environment allowing you to feel happy and secure in the care of your little bundles whilst at work.

Our overall aim is to provide a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere offering your little ones, fun-filled days of learning through play ensuring their days in Nursery are happy and fun and allowing them to build their confidence and self-esteem through making decisions, formed choices and lots of new little friends.

We understand the importance of a child’s development and aim to provide for all areas through a variety of activities, whilst recognising and respecting their individual needs.

At Little Angels we recognise the diverse cultural and religious backgrounds amongst our children and thus they are cared for without any form of discrimination and encouraged to respect and to care for one another within a multicultural environment. We also welcome children with special educational needs, providing that the Nursery can meet and accommodate the individual needs of the child. Where necessary, the Nursery will seek additional assistance from various sources; external agencies, parents and local authorities to enable the child to integrate fully.

Our Facilities


 

Little Angels Nursery operates from large bright openplanned premises in the heart of the City Centre. All rooms are large and spacious with numerous windows allowing lots of natural daylight in. We are currently registered for 60 children, aged between six weeks and five years and are situated behind Queen Street train station, five minutes walk from the central bus station and offer a parking drop off zone within the private grounds of Brunel House allowing ample parking for your convenience and a stress free beginning to your busy day.

We have a large enclosed front garden with various play equipment, bikes and scooters for all children to enjoy supervised outdoor play. We also take all children, with parental consent, for walks to local parks or places of local interest. The children’s safety is of extreme importance to us and we operate many procedures to ensure access is only granted to staff, parents and agreed visitors. The entrance has a security camera allowing the Manager full visibility of all visitors. Additionally all internal doors are fitted with a coded lock and doorbell. We also operate a password system for collecting children to ensure they are never released to unauthorised personnel.

Care is provided using English as the main language, however all children are also introduced to early years Welsh through songs and activities arranged and implemented by the Welsh Co-ordinator whose first language is the medium of Welsh. Additionally children aged 3+ work.
