Going back to work can be a daunting and worrying experience for all parents. Here at Little Angels we pride ourselves in offering a home from home experience for each child attending, allowing parents to feel happy and secure in the care of their children whilst at work. We are currently registered for sixty children of both genders, aged six weeks to five years, located within Cardiff's City Centre. The building is situated within a prime location with easy drop off access for all parents within the private grounds.
All children are cared for without any form of discrimination and encouraged to respect and to care for one another within a multicultural environment. We also welcome children with special educational needs, providing that the Nursery can meet and accommodate the individual needs of each child. Where necessary, the Nursery will seek additional assistance from various sources; external agencies, parents and local authorities to enable the child to integrate fully. OPENING HOURS AND HOLIDAYS Little Angels Nursery is closed for all Bank Holidays and three days between Christmas and New Year, actual dates are given annually. The Manager along with her Deputy is responsible for the day to day running of the Nursery and reports to the Proprietors on a daily basis about every aspect of the Nursery operation. STAFFING RATIOS We have a team of full time and part time staff, which ensures cover for carers who are on holiday, sickness or away on training. This enables us to maintain the ratios which are required daily: Babies under the age of 2 years 1 : 3 From 2 - 3 years 1 : 4 From 3 - 5 years 1 : 8 SETTLING-IN-SESSIONS We take care to ensure that the transition for your child into the Nursery runs as smoothly and easily as possible. After consultations with you the parents, we will arrange as many settling-in-sessions as is deemed necessary. You will work closely with the Senior Nursery Nurse and meet you child's key worker. We suggest that the settling-in-sessions start with you staying with your child for a short period, building towards leaving your child for a short period and gradually increasing to your desired and booked sessions. Care is provided using English as the main language, however all children are also introduced to early years Welsh through songs and activities arranged and implemented by the Proprietor whose first language is the medium of Welsh. Additionally children aged 3+ work bilingually within a small group under the care of a fluent Welsh speaker. |
